Job Title: Senior Engineering Project Manager

DSJ Global is currently partnered with a leading engineering solutions firm based out of Tampa, FL. We are looking for someone that has an extensive background in project management within a heavily regulated environment (chemical, petrochemical, agrichemical spaces). The ideal candidate will have at least 15 years of experience in project management and 20 years of industry experience.

As the Senior Engineering Project Manager you will:

• Supervise Project Managers, Project Engineering Managers, and the Construction Management Group
• Conduct Performance evaluations of Project Managers, Project Engineering Managers, and the Construction Management Group
• Develop salary recommendations for Executive Management approval
• Collect project performance and historical data
• Develop Project Management standards and guidelines
• Select and assign Project Managers to projects (including small studies and proposals)
• Recruit and hire new Project Managers, Project Engineering Managers, and Construction Management
• Manage the Project Management department overhead budget
• Develop project execution plans with the project manager and ensure maintenance of the plans throughout the life of the project
• Support Project Managers by reviewing change orders and other contractual issues that may develop throughout their projects
• Establish key objectives for the project manager upon kick-off of a new project/assignment
• Review and approve capital cost estimates developed by the Company
• Coordinate with accounting and finance to ensure that contract elements are being followed and tracked accurately
• Lead monthly Project Review meetings for all active projects
• Oversee and ensure conformance to Project Management Procedures and Practices for all projects

The Senior Engineering Project Manager should possess the following qualifications:

• Minimum of 20 years of overall industry experience with 10 years of experience managing projects within the consulting engineering industry
• Highly adept at providing leadership and mentoring to project staff
• Bachelor's degree in a field associated with the job's necessary skills and competencies
• Professional registration is preferred (PE or PMP)
• Proven management experience with outstanding interpersonal skills in dealing with client executives, engineers and trade professionals
• Concise and effective written and oral communications skills, as well as overall leadership capabilities
